Love the Skin You’re In

Have you started to notice lines forming on your face where it was once smooth?

No matter how well you take care of your skin, as years progress, you will start to lose collagen and elastin. Those dreaded wrinkles then start to form little by little. Morpheus8 is the most advanced radiofrequency microneedling device on the market that incorporates fractional energy to deliver heat to the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen growth.

Austin & Dallas Morpheus8 offers impressive results with short treatments and minimal downtime. It is well-tolerated and safe for all skin types and tones. Saxon MD Facial Plastic Surgery is proud to provide this state-of-the-art non-invasive treatment in Austin and Dallas.

How does Morpheus8 work?

Morpheus8 in Austin & Dallas, TX, works by employing a combination of technologies to produce better results than one can by itself.

Traditional microneedling and radiofrequency energy are individually effective at stimulating the body’s production of collagen and elastin to improve skin elasticity. Morpheus8 uses two applicator tips to produce impressive skin tightening and resurfacing results. The first tip consists of 24 micro pins that penetrate the skin to induce the body’s natural healing mechanism as well as melt subcutaneous fat (especially in the neck or under the chin) using radiofrequency energy.

The space between each pin allows the skin to heal faster and produce better results. The second tip contains an ablative resurfacing tip to heat the skin’s surface and deeper layers. This dual-modality treatment quickly and effectively tightens, smooths, and strengthens skin from deep within to produce more substantial and longer-lasting results.

What can I expect during my Morpheus8 treatment?

Morpheus8 treatment typically takes one hour to 90 minutes. We will provide you with a topical numbing cream that you can apply one hour before coming into the office for your appointment.

In the office, we will cleanse the skin and administer nerve blocks to further numb the face. The nerve blocks work well, but we do offer an oral sedative upon request. After the treatment area is thoroughly cleansed and prepped, Dr. Saxon will guide the Morpheus8 handpiece around the treatment area. As soon as treatment is complete, you will be able to leave our office.

Some have reported facial volume loss due to the treatment provider setting the device to penetrate deeper than it should. Dr. Saxon has developed a detailed protocol to eliminate this risk. She is a national leader in this technology and trains other providers how to use the Morpheus8 device.

Morpheus8 is considered extremely safe, and serious side effects are rare. However, such serious complications may include blisters, pain, scarring, and patches of hyperpigmentation. For Austin or Dallas morpheus8 patients interested in achieving results comparable to those of a surgical facelift without surgery, combined Morpheus8 and FaceTite treatment is an excellent option. After your Morpheus8 treatment, your skin will be slightly pink – similar to you being out in the sun. It may remain pink for several days depending on the amount of heat needed or how sensitive your skin is. After 24 hrs, you will be able to wear makeup to camouflage any remaining signs of your treatment. It is advised to use a moisturizer and a broad spectrum sunscreen immediately after your treatment.
