Procedure
Lash lifts and brow lamination applications are painless and quick procedures, lasting an average of 60 minutes. Once your specialist has prepared the eye area, making sure it is clean and free of makeup, they will start the process.
For your a lash lift, the technician will apply a silicone pad to the upper eyelid, curl each lash up, and temporarily glue it to the pad. They will then apply a series of gentle perm-like solutions to help the lashes stay curled and appear longer and fuller for weeks. It is important to note that we cannot do lash lifts on extensions. However, your technician is able to do a lash extension removal and lash lift on the same day.
The brow lamination, much like a perm for your brows, involves applying a cream to the brow to lift the individual hairs and using a tool to brush it into your desired look. Once that is achieved, a neutralizer is applied to set the brow hairs in place.
Both of these treatments can be done while you sit back and relax. You can even wear your earbuds and listen to your favorite music, podcast, or audiobook.
Results and Aftercare
Your Austin brow lamination & lash lift results are immediate and should last between 4-6 weeks. For the first 24-48 hours, you will need to:
- Avoid getting your lashes and brows wet. This is very important, as moisture is not your friend in the first 24 hours.
- That includes sweating. Avoid saunas and excessive workouts.
- Do not rub your eye area.
- Avoid eye makeup and skin products, especially oil-based ones.
- Wear your glasses, no contacts.
- Avoid sleeping on your face.
You can help your results last longer by avoiding oil-based facial products, waterproof mascara, and gentle cleansers such as micellar water. Using a water-based serum will keep your lashes and brows conditioned. With a clean spoolie, you can gently brush out your lashes and brows daily.
