What is recovery like after neck liposuction?
Neck liposuction can be done through small incisions hidden around the ears. These are closed with sutures that may need to come out one week after surgery. A compressive dressing is placed around the chin and is kept on at all times for one week except to shower and clean the incisions. Swelling and bruising are present for at least one week and can extend for several weeks. A high-collared shirt or scarf can be placed around the neck during this recovery period.
