The #SaxySquad: Meet Lisa

By January 19, 2018Uncategorized

  1. Full Name: Lisa Nicole Bounds
  2. Position: Practice Manager
  3. Why did you choose to be a part of Saxon MD Facial Plastic Surgery? I have known Dr. Saxon since we were teenagers, and I have always had great respect for her intelligence and artistry. We have kept in touch over the years, and I reached out to her when I decided to make a career change out of teaching and back into the marketing realm. Timing was on our side; I wanted to change careers, and she wanted to start this new venture. She asked me to join her as the Practice Manager, and as she put it then, “the world is our oyster.” She told me that we had the opportunity to really make this practice what we wanted to make it. I love that what we do for our patients empowers them to feel like the best version of themselves.
  4. What is your job background? I spent the last decade as a teacher, and before that I was in healthcare marketing.
  5. What do you do in your free time? How and why did you get into those things? I recently started my MBA at UT Austin, so free time is increasingly rare. When I do have it, I spend that time cultivating the relationships in my life: visiting family, exploring the Hill Country or cooking with my boyfriend, and cocktails with my best friends. I also love reading and writing, so I do that when I can, as well. I am a nerd, and I love it!
  6. What are you most passionate about and why? I am passionate about learning—new recipes, business skills, politics, pop culture trivia, etc.
  7. What is your favorite quote and why? “Dwell in possibility.”-Emily Dickinson. I love this quote because I am an eternal optimist, and I believe that big ideas are achievable.
  8. What three words describe you best? Why? Determined. Creative. Compassionate. I want to be the best version of myself, and I try every day to do that. I also enjoy a lot of creative pursuits, and I like coming up with unique approaches to challenges. Lastly, I try to see things from multiple perspectives and to treat people with care and respect.
