Morpheus8 utilizes radiofrequency microneedling, a cutting-edge technology that delivers controlled energy deep into the skin. Tiny needles stimulate collagen and elastin production, leading to tighter skin, improved texture, and reduced wrinkles. Deeper settings can even target adipose tissue for lower face and body contouring.

What to Expect

What can I expect during my Morpheus8 treatment?

Comfort First: We prioritize your comfort with topical numbing cream (applied beforehand) and additional options like oral sedation or nerve blocks (upon request).

Personalized Treatment:
Once you arrive to the office, your face and neck will be thorougly cleansed and prepped. A thorough consultation and skin analysis ensure customized settings for optimal results.

Quick and Efficient:
The treatment itself typically takes about an hour.

Enhanced Healing:
Regenerative serums (like Benev Regenerative Complex or platelet rich fibrin) are applied afterwards to minimize redness and boost collagen production.

After Morpheus8, you can expect mild redness and drying. We usually do not see peeling or scabbing which can be attributed to the specialized post-procedure skincare regimen we have you start after your treatment.

Downtime is minimal, and you can return to regular activities immediately, but strenuous workouts should be avoided for a few days. Makeup can be worn after 24–48 hours to cover up any redness.

Although you might notice an initial improvement, the most significant results, including tighter and smoother skin, will gradually appear over several months as collagen production continues.

Achieve Deeper Rejuvenation: Morpheus8 + Erbium Laser

As we age, skin concerns can manifest on both the surface and deeper layers. Morpheus8 addresses this by stimulating collagen production for lasting skin tightening and remodeling. However, for more mature skin with significant sun damage or wrinkles, combining Morpheus8 with Erbium laser skin resurfacing offers a comprehensive approach.

Morpheus8: This advanced technology uses radiofrequency microneedling to deliver heat deep into the skin. This triggers collagen growth, leading to a firmer, smoother appearance.

Erbium Laser:
This laser precisely targets the outer layers of the skin, removing sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven texture.

Synergistic Benefits:
By combining these treatments, you can achieve a more dramatic transformation:

Deeper Tightening:
Morpheus8 tackles concerns beneath the surface, creating a lifted and youthful foundation.

Enhanced Surface Renewal:
The Erbium laser removes imperfections for a visibly smoother and more even complexion.

Morpheus8 RF Microneedling FAQs

Is Morpheus8 painful?

Morpheus8 involves minimal discomfort because a topical numbing cream is applied beforehand. We prescribe a specially formulated plasticized gel for topical numbing from a compound pharmacy so that you can apply it at home 2 hours prior to the procedure. In rare circumstances, we can also perform nerve blocks to maximize comfort.

The duration varies depending on the treatment area, but a session lasts 30 minutes to an hour.
The number of sessions varies based on individual goals and the extent of skin concerns. Typically, a series of 3-4 sessions spaced 6-8 weeks apart is recommended for best results.
Some immediate improvements may be visible, but the full effects develop over several weeks as collagen production continues. Optimal results are usually noticeable within 3-6 months.
Common side effects include redness, swelling, and minor discomfort, but these resolve within a few days. Downtime is minimal, and you can return to regular activities immediately.
The effects of Morpheus8 depend on the amount of energy delivered and the depth of penetration of the needles. It is important that an experienced provider deliver your treatments to ensure that the optimal settings are used for your individual anatomy. At Saxon MD, we have specific treatment algorithms developed by Dr. Saxon to maximize benefits and minimize the risk of volume loss or other adverse effects.
Results can last several months or years, but maintenance sessions may be recommended to sustain the benefits over time. The longevity of results can vary among individuals.
