Boost Collagen & Heal Your Skin

Microneedling is a cutting-edge procedure that involves creating micro-injuries in the skin using fine needles. These controlled injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing process, boosting collagen and elastin production.

The result is a rejuvenated skin texture and the reduced appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars. The Candela Exceed microneedling device elevates this treatment, ensuring consistent and safe results for all patients.

What is

Microneedling?

Neocollagenesis: The Science Behind Microneedling

Neocollagenesis refers to the formation of new collagen fibers in the skin. Microneedling triggers this process by creating controlled micro-injuries in the dermis. These injuries stimulate the body’s natural wound-healing processes, leading to an increase in growth factors and the subsequent production of collagen and elastin. The result is a denser, more organized collagen network, which leads to firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin.

Saxon MD prioritizes safety and is dedicated to using the latest, most advanced technologies for aesthetic treatments — that’s why we use the Exceed microneedling device from Candela.

The Exceed device is the world’s only dual FDA-cleared system for facial wrinkles and acne scars. Its patented cartridges have a 6-needle tilting plate that allows the needles to adapt to the skin’s surface, ensuring that the needles are always perpendicular to the skin. Precise penetration prevents snagging on the skin, which can cause scarring.

The Exceed device’s state-of-the-art technology also has an adjustable penetration depth ranging from 0.0mm-1.5mm, allowing the treatment to be tailored to the unique skin thickness in different areas of the face. With Exceed microneedling, you can expect minimal downtime and maximum benefits.

Microneedling Preparation:

After microneedling, you may notice immediate redness, resembling a sunburn, for a few days. Please protect your skin from direct sunlight and avoid harsh skincare products and strenuous workouts until you recover completely, which may take 3 to 4 days. As your skin heals, collagen production increases, and you’ll start to see the results in the following weeks. Most patients need 3-4 sessions spaced a few weeks apart for optimal results.
