Reduce Jowls and Saggy Skin

FaceTite is a groundbreaking facial rejuvenation procedure that offers a middle ground between non-invasive treatments and surgical facelifts. Utilizing radiofrequency energy, it facilitates internal fat lipolysis and external collagen contraction, effectively targeting the lower face, neck, and jowls. FaceTite melts away excess fat deposits and tightens your skin, helping you reclaim your youthful contours. You will notice continued improvements over six months as your body produces new collagen fibers.

Radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) is the core technology behind FaceTite. It involves using radiofrequency energy to dissolve fat (lipolysis) and contract collagen in targeted facial areas. The energy is delivered through a cannula under the skin, reaching temperatures that facilitate the breakdown of fat cells and the coagulation of blood vessels.

The RFAL technology also plays a crucial role in skin contraction, promoting a smoother and more even skin surface post-procedure. The heat generated induces thermal contraction of fibrous tissues and dermal collagen, offering immediate contouring effects that continue to improve over six months, enhancing the skin’s overall texture and contour.

What to Expect

Facetite is done right in the office with tumescent anesthesia. This means that a dilute numbing solution is injected under the skin. Next, a probe is inserted under the skin, which delivers energy to tighten the fibers connecting the skin to the deeper structures. Highly sensitive temperature sensors on the Facetite device monitor the temperature throughout the procedure to ensure that the optimal endpoints are reached for the best results.

Facetite is a unique technology in that once the temperature reaches optimal endpoints, it automatically shuts off, limiting the risk of burns. You will see some immediate skin tightening and loss of fat under the chin after Facetite. A liposuction cannula is used to remove any melted fat at the end of the procedure. If any additional neck liposuction is needed after Facetite, it is done at that time. Once the procedure is done, a compressive garment is placed, which stays on for 48–72 hours.

Facetite is an amazing procedure, but some need more invasive techniques, like a facelift. Dr. Saxon has years of experience with this technology and was one of the first to offer it in Texas. Over time, she has been able to determine who can achieve the best results.

Collagen and elastin are lost incrementally, starting in your 20s. If enough is lost, the skin doesn’t seem to tighten as much and needs to be removed with surgery instead. No specific age can determine this since it will depend on how much maintenance and preventative treatments have been done over time. You will see this manifest as very thin and severely loose skin. Although some benefits can be seen with Facetite in this instance, a facelift will give better results.

Another instance that can limit results with Facetite is platysmal banding. The platysma is a thin, sheet-like muscle in the neck that can form bands as it loosens over time. Facetite does not tighten or divide these muscle bands. Dr. Saxon will recommend adding MyEllevate or a platysmaplasty to your Facetite treatment if this is the case to accomplish these goals.

Procedures and Treatments That Are Often Combined With Facetite

There are some common combinations of treatments that complement the results given with Facetite to sculpt the lower face.

  1. Buccal fat pad excision can be combined with Facetite to reduce volume in the lower face and neck. This combination is otherwise known as our Slim and Sculpt package.
  2. In addition, Dr. Saxon will often recommend doing Morpheus8. Morpheus8 uses the same radiofrequency technology but delivers it in a different way. It can act synergistically with Facetite to tighten the skin of the entire face and neck. This combination is otherwise known as EmbraceRF.
  3. Lastly, Facetite can be done at the same time as MyEllevate. MyEllevate is a delivery system used to place a suture to lift the muscles of the neck to add to the results of Facetite. It is also added to Facetite if you have moderate or severe platysmal banding in the neck.
After your FaceTite procedure, you can expect minimal downtime compared to a facelift, but mild swelling is common. You may notice some immediate improvement in your facial contours, but continued improvements happen over six months to a year as your body produces new collagen fibers. We offer lymphatic massage at Saxon MD to speed up your recovery, and we will guide you in doing gua sha lymphatic massage at home. You can resume most of your daily activities within a few days.
Following Dr. Saxon’s aftercare guidelines ensures a smooth recovery:

FaceTite FAQs

Who is the ideal candidate for FaceTite?
Individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity, sagging in the lower face, or prominent jowls are ideal for FaceTite. If you want to reverse the signs of facial aging without large incisions or an extended recovery period, FaceTite is a suitable alternative to a traditional facelift.

While FaceTite is a safe procedure, some patients may experience minor temporary issues such as swelling, firmness, numbness, bruising, and fluid collections under the skin. Wearing a compression wrap and lymphatic massage can help with this. Very rarely, it has been reported that there can be facial weakness and hair loss in the treatment area that is temporary.

The results of FaceTite are long-lasting, but they are not permanent. The natural aging process will continue over time. However, many patients have seen the benefits of FaceTite for years.
Patients often notice initial results within a few weeks after the procedure, but the full benefits of FaceTite, including improved skin tightening and contouring, may take a few months to become evident as the skin continues to tighten.
While there is no functional downtime with Facetite, you will have some swelling for the first week and will need to wear a compression wrap to minimize this. There is usually some degree of minor swelling for up to one month after the procedure, but it is usually not noticeable to the general public.
