This patient is a 29-year-old gentleman who thought he had a Neanderthal brow ridge. He wanted to soften his appearance without looking feminine. He had a low hairline and thick hair, so a brow bone reduction and a brow lift were done via a coronal incision was used on top of his head making the incision almost invisible. She asked if filler or fat could be injected in those areas to smooth it out.
Dr. Saxon, instead, performed a brow bone reduction with brow lift to smooth out the areas of bone that were more prominent to create and overall more feminine forehead. Injecting filler or fat into the forehead carries increase risk of blindness if it is injected into a vessel in this location, so brow contouring is less risky.
