Facial Plastic Surgery Austin, TX
About
Serving Austin, Dripping Springs, the Texas Hill Country, and Central Texas
Choosing a facial plastic surgeon is about much more than finding the closest office. It’s about finding someone whose experience, philosophy, and results give you confidence that you’re making the right decision. At Saxon MD Facial Plastic Surgery, patients travel from throughout Central Texas and across the country because our practice is dedicated exclusively to surgery of the face.
Our flagship office is located just southwest of Austin in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. While our address has changed over the years, our commitment to serving Austin has not. In fact, our current location was driven by a vision of creating an even better experience for our patients while building a practice designed for the future.
A Practice That Grew with Austin
When I first opened Saxon MD Facial Plastic Surgery, our office was located in a beautifully restored mid-century medical building on Nueces Street in downtown Austin. The building had an incredible history. Originally constructed in the 1950s for one of Austin’s pioneering gynecologists, it had been thoughtfully restored decades later while preserving its original architectural character. The interiors were designed by renowned designer, Jeanne Schultz, and became one of the most unique places to establish a practice focused on facial plastic surgery, and it served us well during those early years.
As the practice continued to grow, however, so did my vision.
In 2020, I moved to Dripping Springs and quickly fell in love with the community. Living in the Hill Country gave me a different perspective on what I wanted the patient experience to feel like. The pace was more relaxed, the scenery was beautiful, and there was a genuine sense of community that reminded me why so many people were choosing to make this area home.
Around the same time, it became clear that we had outgrown our downtown office. Rather than simply finding a larger space, I wanted to create a flagship practice that reflected where Saxon MD was headed over the next decade and beyond.
When I found our current building near Belterra, I knew it was the right place.
We relocated the practice in 2024, creating a space that allows us to continue expanding while maintaining the personalized experience our patients expect. The building was intentionally chosen with the future in mind, providing room for an onsite ambulatory surgery center and a wellness space as our practice continues to grow. Instead of planning our next move, we found a home where we could continue building for years to come.
Surprisingly Close to Austin
One of the first things many patients say is, “I thought you were much farther away.”
Although our office sits just outside Austin, it’s remarkably convenient to reach. Located directly off Highway 290, patients avoid the congestion of downtown traffic while enjoying complimentary parking and a much more relaxed arrival experience.
Typical drive times include:
- South Austin: approximately 15–20 minutes
- Bee Cave: approximately 15 minutes
- Lakeway: approximately 20 minutes
- Downtown Austin: approximately 25–30 minutes
- Buda: approximately 25 minutes
- Kyle: approximately 30 minutes
- Wimberley: approximately 30 minutes
- San Marcos: approximately 35 minutes
- Johnson City: approximately 35 minutes
- Marble Falls: approximately 45 minutes
- Fredericksburg: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes
- San Antonio: approximately 1 hour 15–30 minutes
Many patients find the drive easier than expected. Instead of navigating downtown streets and parking garages, they arrive in a peaceful Hill Country setting designed to make every visit feel comfortable from the moment they pull into the parking lot.
A Destination for Patients Throughout Central Texas
Our Austin office serves patients from throughout Central Texas, South Texas, and the Texas Hill Country. On any given day, our waiting room may include someone from West Lake Hills, another from Fredericksburg, a family from San Antonio, and someone who has flown in from another state for surgery.
Patients routinely visit us from Austin, Dripping Springs, Bee Cave, Lakeway, West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Wimberley, Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Johnson City, Fredericksburg, Marble Falls, Blanco, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Liberty Hill, and San Antonio. Many others travel from Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and across the United States.
The reason is simple. Facial plastic surgery is not something most people choose based solely on geography. For many patients, traveling an extra hour—or even boarding a plane—is a small investment when compared to the importance of selecting the surgeon whose experience and aesthetic philosophy best align with their goals.
A Practice Focused Exclusively on the Face
Unlike many plastic surgery practices that divide their attention between cosmetic surgery of the face and body, Saxon MD is dedicated exclusively to facial plastic surgery. This focused approach allows us to continually refine the techniques we use every day while providing highly individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s anatomy and goals.
Patients travel to our Austin office for a wide range of facial procedures, including deep plane facelift surgery, structural neck lift, brow lift, lip lift, rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, hairline lowering, facial fat transfer, brow bone reduction, orbital rim contouring, and facial balancing procedures.
Over the years, Dr. Sarah Saxon has become particularly known for combining deep plane facelift techniques with comprehensive forehead rejuvenation to create results that appear balanced, natural, and harmonious rather than simply tighter.
More Than a Consultation
We want every visit to feel like more than another appointment.
Our location places patients at the gateway to the Texas Hill Country, surrounded by some of the area’s best restaurants, local boutiques, wineries, breweries, and outdoor destinations. Many patients enjoy lunch in Belterra Village, spend the afternoon exploring Dripping Springs, or make a weekend out of their consultation before returning home.
For those traveling from farther away, Austin offers the perfect balance of world-class dining, live music, luxury accommodations, and outdoor recreation, making it easy to combine exceptional medical care with a memorable visit to one of the country’s most vibrant cities.
Traveling to Austin for Surgery
Every surgical procedure is performed in Austin at our accredited surgical facility, where our team has carefully designed every aspect of the experience around facial plastic surgery.
Patients traveling from outside the area receive personalized guidance before surgery, including recommendations for nearby hotels, transportation, postoperative care, and recovery planning. Virtual consultations are also available for many patients before they travel, allowing much of the planning process to take place from the comfort of home.
Whether you’re driving from nearby or flying across the country, our goal is to make your experience as seamless and comfortable as possible.
